It was about 9:00 A.M January 14, 1998. I was listening to Rick Dees Countdown. We had been # 10 last time and they said that there was a new number 1 and that it had taken a big jump. As I listend he said" And now for our new number 1 single, it's a joined company of 5. Two girls and 3 guys. you may know the guys but the girls are new to the buisness. They have been working togther for a while now. they were at number 10 last week..""Oh my gosh is this us?"I asked myself"Our new #1 single is by the Carnations and Hanson!""OH MY GOD!!!" I said as I ran out of the room and down stairs yelling "We're number 1!!!" "What are you yelling about" Ashley asked "We're number one! They just said so on Rick Dees""Seriously?"she asked "YES i'm sure of it!!!""OH MY GOD!!""Thats exactly what I said!!!" "HEY did you hear on the radio?"Taylor asked"Ya can you believe it?""YA actually I can"he said.
"So what show are we gonna be on tonight?"I asked my mom "Uh I think the Rosie show again and tomorrow Jay Leno""Oh fun!!!"I said. We got to New York around 2:00 and we were suppose to be at the studio at 3. So we went to the hotel and got unpacked, and then hurried down to the studio.
"Now here again the famous Hanson and Carnations"Said Rosie as we came on. "Great to see you guys here again!"She said." Well it's good to be back"Taylor said. "Oh and congradulations on the #1 single!!""Thank you"I said. "So how did you react. "Well I ran down stairs screaming were #1 were #1!!"I said. "Well it was suprising from being #10 and then being #1 the next week"Isaac said. "Yes we were jumping up and down "Zac said. "Well and I heard a rumor online that one of you guys has a boyfriend or girlfriend"She said. "Um not me"I said. "I don't think any of us do."Taylor said. But haha I knew that was true but I diddn't say anything. "and with our time I don't think we could."Zac said. "Ya the only time we have to practaclly listen to music is on an airplane"I said. The audience laughed. "Well
we do have time to like sleep and stuff"Zac said. They laughed again
"Well I mean I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend that like wouldn't care if I only would get to see him like 1 day out of the whole year."Ashley said. "ya it's like oh Hi! oh I gotta go see ya in the next year"Taylor said. "So how's it like working with these girls?"Rosie asked. "Well it's certainly been interesting"Taylor said. "Ya I mean well there not that bad I mean they don't take an hour just to get ready"Zac said. "Well is that good or bad?"I asked The audience laughed again. "Well It's good because you can get ready fast"Taylor said. "Good because I hope there's nonthing wrong with me!"i said. They laughed again. Boy i'm on a streak today! "So Tammy and Ashley do you have a website people can go to?"Rosie asked. "Well actually yes we do uh Tammy made it and I sorta help out"Ashley said. "Really so whats the address?""http://www.carnations.com"I said. "YA and we have like alot of stuff that other sites can't get because well were offical!"Ashley said. "Wow and I heard that Tammy, has a hanson site""Well lets see uh I might ...I just might""Your not gonna tell"Rosie asked "Well no I might have one and well actually ya I do""I never knew that"Taylor said. "Oh whoops anyways well it's just like well it has like really exclusive pics and stuff like that no biggie"I said. "Oh well you guys want to play for us.. oh I mean girls too""Ya sure'We all said. "Okay and now here's the Carnations and Hanson Preforming their smash hit single" I was swetting so hard. I have never prefmored this song on TV before and I wuz nervous. I mean practally all of our fans would be watching. But I did okay and so did the rest of us. I was just really nervous ..for some reason I had a feeling someone was watching me.
